Methods of Introduction of the Chelating Drug into the body





The are 4 basic methods of introduction of the chelating drug into the body:

    INTRAVENOUS in which the chelating drug is introduced into the body by direct injection/fed into the vein and is commonly known as “IV”.

    TRANSDERMAL in which the chelating drug is introduced into the body by absorption through the skin. Usually, the chelating drug is in a lotion form, applied to the skin, and covered with a patch.

    ORAL in which admittance of the chelating drug is by mouth and is usually in capsule form.

    RECTAL in which the chelating drug is admitted into the body via the anus and is typically self-administered and in the form of a suppository.
